It is light weight, but sturdy. It expands just a little bit and it has 3 different zipper compartments. In one compartment there is an inner zipper. Plus there are pockets that could hold your sun glasses, your cell phone, and maybe even your keys (if you don't have a bunch)! The only downfall is trying to remember which zipped compartment hold what!😄
